who's the boss?

just in case i haven't mentioned it...leia's starting to get really bossy. she thinks she's the boss. so, today...we got home from picking kaia up from pre-k, had lunch, went outside to paint a little, came back in to have a snack before attempting nap time (which very rarely happens, btw) & i simply say, "okay girls, after you eat your cookie we're gonna rest a little". that's all i said, nothing more. leia (still, with her cookie in hand), gets the most crushed look on her face and throws herself to the ground and starts one of the most dramatic scenes i've even seen a 2 year old throw. she had tears rolling down her cheeks. so, i ask her, "what's wrong baby?" and she says, "i not tired, i said wake up" (she said that cuz she fell asleep for like a 1/2 hour on the way home from picking kaia up). so, she thought that counted as her nap and mama doesn't need more of a break than 30 minutes in the car. so, i tell her, "leia, mama (and daddy) are the boss and i said you need to rest a little longer". and she says (with tears rolling even more now along with her wailing), "no, I the boss!" i don't know what she was more upset about...the fact that i said she had to sleep, or that i said she wasn't the boss.
anyways, i managed to grab the camera in time before her tantrum stopped...as you can see, she wasn't so upset that she had to stop eating her cookie :)




i just keep reminding myself...she 2!
