family night #2: "kid's choice"...

tonight we had a mellow kinda family night. as i said in my prior post, kaia's sick & i'm not feeling great, so we did a "low key" one. we didn't dress up, didn't decorate the house, but we did kinda have a theme. we just decided to make it whatever kaia and leia wanted...kinda like a "favorite things" night. check it out...
kaia fell asleep watching one of her shows (you know she's not feeling well if she's taking a nap...this never happens!) so...
leia helped me get the homemade bread sticks ready to put in the oven...
and, kaia chose what we were having for dinner...spaghetti & meatballs (one of their favorites!)
bon appetite (i know...cheesy! :)
then...another "favorite" of theirs...pedicures (with some polish they picked out at the store today...purple)
ta da!
now that they have pretty toes...
one quick sis pic, on to dessert! s'mores, they LOVE them...
when you don't have a camp fire handy, you have to improvise (hey, it worked!)
daddy was making silly faces while i was getting the s'mores ready...they were amused
looks like it's approved by leia!
oops...hey it's worth the mess, right?!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
and kaia told me that i was the BEST s'more maker ever (i promise she's had a "real" one before, but it's been a while! :)
poor baby...she still doesn't feel well :(
and, we ended the night with one of their favorite games...Candy Land!
