we went on a (very much needed) date last night...i don't know the last time derek & i had gone out alone...except for 1 1/2 hours last thursday to go to kaia's pre school (pre-k) orientation. but that doesn't count as a date. our church started up the Parent's Night Out thing they do every month (they don't do it during the summer), so it's been a few months and we've really missed it! :)anyways, back to our date, we'd been wanting to try this kinda new restaurant called The Elephant Bar, so last night we went. it was very good, but we were both so tired that we were so delirious...i felt like an old couple. between moving, unpacking...etc., we haven't gotten good sleep lately (not that that's anything new :)...but, it would be so nice if leia would let us sleep past 6:30 just one day. i think once kaia's pre-k starts on monday, things will start to get back to normal.
anyways...just curious, gor those of you with kids...do your kids EVER sleep in?

Mine is old enough now that if she wakes up before we do, she gets herself something to eat, and goes back in her room. I am so blessed.
Oh, that's so nice! I'm so glad you got to go out! I must say I'm a little jealous...
If you consider 7:30 sleeping in than yes. :)
Joey is the king of sleeping in.. he gets up sometimes at 10 or 10:30.. Kaia, not as late but has slept until 9:30 before.. They get it from me.. I HATE mornings!! :)
