maybe not eczema???
okay, so i took leia to the dr. last week (i was SO sure she had eczema) and the doctor said there's a small chance that it's eczema, but it doesn't look exactly like it. first of all, leia hasn't been acting like it was itchy and she said it looks more like just some sort of skin irritation, so she gave us a prescription for some cream. but the cream makes me a little nervous cuz it's a type of steroid cream. we did some online-research before we put it on her & everything we read said that it's o.k. for kids as long as you don't use it for long periods of time. i don't like the sounds of that...but, anyways, we've been using it for 2 1/2 days & her "rash" looks a lot better. i guess we'll just stop using it AS SOON as the rash it totally gone (the dr. said we could use it for 2 weeks). i just wanted to check to see if anyone else's kids are/have ever used this on their kids, it's called: Triamcinolone Acetonide (0.025%). i think this cream is what dr. prescribe for ezcema too, so whether she had that or not, it'll probably get rid of it (which will kinda leave us not knowing for sure what she has/had, unless it comes back...then it's probably eczema). anyways, i'd really appreciate your opinions...thanks! :)

I agree that if shes not itchy its probably not excema. Derek itches horribly when he has a flare up.We were given that cream for Derek's excema. We were worried too. In all honesty it didnt do much for him so we used Aveeno oatmeal bath, free and clear laundry detgt. and Gentle Naturals excema cream with much more success and no steroids. Good luck!
