oh no...not again!

this is the second time this has happened...let me set the scene. we're running late for something, so i ask derek to just put the girls in the car and i'll be there in a minute. so i run out the door, hop in the car and off we go. so, we get to where we're going and i realize he literally did exactly what i asked...well, he put them in the car...without their shoes!
so, this happened again today...we had dentist appointments, derek had his at 11:00 and kaia & leia had their's at 12:30 (after kaia got out of school), so leia & i dropped derek off at the dentist and leia and i had an hour to kill before we had to pick kaia up from pre-school, so...what do you know, we were like 2 minutes away from target. we ALWAYS need something from that store, you know?! so, we get there, i park the car, grab the cart (which was right by the car) and open leia's door to get her out. and yes, she's barefoot. so, i don't panic...i simply look around the car floor which is a mess and usually has spare shoes lying around. of course not, today there weren't any shoes on the floor. so, then i realize..."wait, we're at target...why am i stressing?" :) hey, what's a girl to do...i didn't have much choice, right? she can't go to her dentist appt. without shoes on. hey, leia wasn't complaining...she loves shoe shopping!
too bad i can't use that excuse...maybe i need to start forgetting my shoes when i leave the house!
