today is kaia's actual birthday, this time 4 years ago, she was about 14 hours old
leia was very helpful by waking kaia up this morning...we don't usually have to wake them up. they're usually the ones waking us up, VERY early!
she's so sweet...
kaia opened her gifts from us before pre school this morning
here are kaia's new boots that she wasn't very fond of...maybe they'll grow on her :)
she's still 1/2 asleep :)
she humored me & at least tried the boots on, thanks baby (by the way, if you're wondering why kaia's always wearing the same shirst...it's because she has like 3 favorites & the SECOND they some out of the dryer, she HAS to wear one of them (i promise she has a closet full of clothes...that she doesn't want to wear much)...i'm kinda hoping this is a phase. i've just learned to let her pick out what she wants to wear (most of the time) and "choose my battles". in the long run, what she wears won't matter, right?
i make "texas papa's fudge frosting" for every birthday every year & it's very time sensitive...i put it on a little too early. oops!
i worked on the frosting for about a 1/2 hour and it finally hardened up, whew!
then we to papa and nema's house for spaghetti dinner, yummy...
time to blow out candles (for a 3rd time)...sheesh!
once again, leia's helping...
yummy!we love you kaia, i can't believe you're already 4 years old!
