a little ahead of schedule...
...leia getting a big girl bed, that is. we weren't planning on getting her a bed until she turned 2 (a little over 2 months away), but Wickes had a really good discount on matresses, so, we got one tonight. we'll see what happens when we attempt having leia sleep in her new bed. as we were looking at the matresses, derek says, "when i think of leia in a bed, i think of a lot of sleepless nights". yeah, i don't know if she's actually gonna stay in bed at first, we might have to wait until she falls asleep and then transfer her into it. once she gets used to waking up in her bed in the same room with kaia, i think she'll start to like it (if she doesn't at first). we aren't dummies though...her crib is still set up just incase she really doesn't go for this right away. wish us luck!!! :)

So how did Leia do last night? And how did you sleep last night? We did the transition early with Melania too. She has done great, but I slept lighter for awhile anxious of what might happen. Good Luck!
i couldn't believe it, she slept the entire night in her new bed and she and kaia came walking out together this morning hand-in-hand at 8:30. for us, that's really sleeping in!

Ha! Great minds think alike... Derek is in his big boy bed too (also from the Wickes clearance sale). Kinda bittersweet to put away the cribs though :(
It great seeing you 4 this afternoon! Kaia told me that Leia slept in her room and she was so excited! Too cute :) What was also cute was the look she was giving Jayden (Don't tell Derek she knows how to flirt!)
