Men in TOO-TIGHT tights

thanks for kaia's dress, mom (texas grandma)...

I know...the title of this doesn't make sense, but just guess what i'm talking about. That's right, "The Nutcracker". It's always a fun thing to do around Christmas time, so, i took the girls to see it today. as you can see from the picture i took right before we left it didn't start out very well (but, that's because kaia was actually in the middle of a nap when i woke her up to get ready...why does that always happen, every time she actually takes a nap we have to go somewhere). anyways, she woke up grumpy and leia just wanted to stay home and drink boob milk (i guess that's kinda like eating bon bons for babies).
so, we get there...finally after finding a place to park and wishing i hadn't worn a pair of heels that i hadn't broken in yet, and still having to walk a ways to get to the municipal auditorium. so, the ballet starts and kaia's really loving it. then it happens, (not in this order) men in very tight tights come tip-toeing out onto the stage & i mean tight. so tight, that you know what everyone's looking at and i'm the only one looking around with a smirk. then, some very eerie fake old people come out, you know, by fake i mean people that were probably like 18 and they put makeup on them to make them look old (that kinda stuff creeps me out), then a just as scary clown with a big dress that has some REALLY cute little girls come running out from underneath the clowns dress (this is getting weirder by the minute), and then some scary little rats come running out onto the stage. i was terrified, but it kept the kids entertained. at least through the first 1/2 of it. after intermission was a different story...kaia and her friend, annie, were "over it". good thing we sat near the aisle cuz during the last half hour kaia and annie were dancing, imitating the ballerinas and "ballerinos" (don't mind my humor, i'm really tired) .
i'm kinda kidding about being terrified. it was a lot of fun and i do LOVE theatre "stuff". Has anyone else seen it this year and, if so, did anyone else find parts of it disturbing?

I laugh at you because the things you say are my words. I loved your ability to talk about boobs and packages. Its great. And for the record when ever I go to those kinds of shows where they might as well be naked i cant stop staring. Anyways the 28th is a date! H
