gotta love roadtrips!

since kaia's on spring break this week and we hadn't really planned anything...we decided to do a last minute road trip, so we drove up to San Luis Obipso for a couple of days. we haven't been up there in like a year, so it was WAY past due...
before Farmer's Market, we stopped by the Mission Inn where they had an Easter egg hunt going on and they wanted a pic with the Easter bunny...

then, we met up with travis and london (sorry the pic came out blurry...annoying!) for a little while, it was fun getting to know you guys better (sorry we missed you, jen). travis...by the way, we never got the phone # comment. weird?
we got to see justin and heidi (since she's not in labor yet :)
she's due in like 5 days...so cute!
the next morning, we walked down the beach from the hotel, in Pismo and walked to the pier...




the girls LOVED watching the surfers!
while they were watching i said something like, "doesn't that look fun? that's where mama kinda surfed for the first time" and leia goes, "yeah, i wanna "yerf" (surf). she's so funny. ;)



then, before we took off, we went to a really good sandwich shop called Gus' (derek and i used to go there quite a bit...it was walking distance from his old apartment)...ahhh, old times. :) the girls liked seeing the old places we used to live and where i used to work. well, leia did...after a few times of telling them, "this is where....." kaia goes, "mama, why do you keep telling us all this stuff?" well, excuse me! leia, goes "i wanna hear!" haha.
