both girls had pretty bad "spills" this week. you can't really see leia's anymore, but she fell face first into a leggo about 1/2 inch from her eye. she had a shiner, but that was a few days ago so it's almost gone. then, last night we went on one of our family walks and kaia was running behind me with her hands in her pockets, and she tripped on her flip flops and couldn't catch herself because she couldn't get her hands free in time, so she fell mouth/nose first into the sidewalk. her poor mouth was full of blood. i was scared to look in her mouth to assess the damage...i was sure she was gonna have at least 1 broken tooth and need stitches on her lip before i checked it out. thankfully, ALL of the teeth were still intact and there were no external cuts, but there was a pretty bad one inside her mouth. ahhhhhh, i thought having girls would be easier when it came to how much they get hurt...i was wrong. derek and i keep joking that someone's gonna call CPS on us. i told derek we just need to get both of them a football helmet to wear at all times.
