9 (-ish) week belly pic...

i didn't want to get behind on the 'ol belly pics...
sorry, i haven't been blogging lately...you know how i said a couple of posts ago that i thought the morning sickness was over. well, i was wrong. i remember that it got better around 3 months with the girls, so hopefully i'm close to being over it. until then, i'll try to find some stuff to blog about & make this blog a little more interesting. ;)

better late than never

okay... i know we're way behind on seeing this movie, but i didn't read the book and when it 1st came out, i thought it was just a vampire movie...but, when i heard it was a romance, my ears "perked up" a little. still, we didn't want to go spend $22 on going to see it at the time.
so, last night we went on a double date with some friends and headed out to the ghetto (okay, i'm kinda exaggerating a little) to the $3 movie theater to see it. i REALLY liked it! it was a beautiful movie...the actors & the cinematography/scenery. it was a great, cheap night and now i'm officially a twilight fan (i might even read the books). i'm excited for the 2nd movie to come out!

8 weeks and 2 days

8 weeks & 2 days along...

we had our first pre-natal appt. this morning & found out that i'm a couple days farther along then we thought (i thought i was 8 weeks today)...so, that changes the baby's due date to september 30th. the doctor did an internal sonogram so we could get a more exact due date & the baby looks great (he/she is almost 1 inch long) & we could see his/her little heart pitter-pattering. that never gets old, whether it's your 1st baby or your 3rd. ;) and, surprisingly i haven't gained as much weight as i thought...shocking! we'll go back again in a couple of weeks for the 10 week appt. until then, enjoy the pics...

this has to stop!

okay, like i said in my last post, i've been nauseaus the last couple of weeks and thinking of anything to eat has been difficult.  so, my health-conscious self has kinda not cared what i eat lately...anything that sounded edible worked for me.  that said, here's some of the stuff i ate this week:

~lasagna (twice)

~a burger AND fries (i NEVER eat either of those!)

~and today, a pack of twinkies!!! (i don't know the last time i even ate ONE  twinkie)  

i know,  i'm pregnant and i shouldn't worry about what i eat so much and i don't worry... i just know that fries and twinkies have absolutely NOTHING nutritious for the baby in them.  i also, don't have the "i'm eating for 2" mindset... i try to eat pretty healthy while pregnant.  with the occasional splurge, of course.  but this week, has been the opposite...tons of splurges with the occasional healthy meal.  

anyways...now that i'm starting to feel better...all of these "junk food fest" days are gonna stop!

okay...i'm still alive. i've been having morning sickness for the last couple of weeks (hence, the no blogging lately) and then "my" computer kinda crashed so, it's made blogging difficult.
anyways...we decided to go up to Oak Glen today with the girls for Valentines Day to make it a family celebration. derek and i went out to see "he's just not that into you" last night, so that was kinda like our night out for V-Day.
we had a great time...the weather was perfect, didn't need chains for the tires and found the spot we wanted to go right away. the girls LOVED sledding...leia had a few tearful moments after falling off the sled (i think she was more mad that the snow was on her face than it scaring her). poor baby.
btw, i know this is a lot of pics...but, i thought i'd make up for lost time :)

it's already starting...

i'll be 6 weeks along tomorrow and i'm already nauseaus. not like super nauseaus, but queasy and NOTHING really sounds good to eat & when i do finally think of something that sounds somewhat edible...i better eat it quick, before that starts to sound gross. fun.
i'm not complaining, i know this is part of pregnancy, but with kaia and leia, i don't think this feeling started until i was about 8 weeks along (maybe i just forgot???). hmmm, okay i'm gonna go think about what i could possibly feel like eating for lunch in a couple of hours. :)

hey y'all.

we've been in Texas for the last few days...mainly to go meet my new beautiful niece, but also to visit family. we had a great time & the girls were good, but i had a lot of the "how are we gonna ever travel with 3 kids?" thoughts. :) j/k, i'm sure we'll manage when the time comes but it's a lot of work flying with even 1 or 2 kids! anyways, here's our trip...

she kinda reminded me of kaia as a baby...ahhhh.
then, saturday morning, derek went golfing with my dad, so the rest of us took the kids to the zoo. derek learned all about what allergies are...gotta love cedar!
the double (or in our case, triple) stroller came in handy...thanks uncle carlos! :)

that night we went over to my sister's house and bought the UFC fight on PPV...and, yes, derek got me into Ultimate Fighter too (poor BJ Penn...if you're a UFC fan, you'll know what i mean). ;)
on sunday, my dad had a Super Bowl party. i have to admit, that was an amazing catch at the end (too bad it was the "wrong" team)!
we miss you guys already...if it was up to kaia and leia, we'd move to San Antonio.
