trick-or-treat
we had a very fun evening...we started out at our friends, the collin's house, for some really good homemade mac-n-cheese that heather made and then we headed over to do some trunk-or-treating. it was leia's first time actually holding a bag & "asking" for candy (if batting her eyes at people counts)...but she loved it, and kaia came home with probably a 5 pound bag of candy...i'd say it was a success! :)

Kaia's first "real" haircut...
today kaia got her first "real" haircut...TRIM (meaning one that i didn't do for her). she was very against the idea, cuz she wants her hair to stay LLLOOONNNGGG so bad & she thought that they would cut it short. however, after some convincing (bribing with Coldstone), she trusted me that i wouldn't let them cut it short (we couldn't use the word "cut", we had to say "trim"...that was very important!). so, off we went to this adorable kids salon where i have to say, besides moving her head more than the lady would have liked...she did pretty good.

okay, so we don't usually bribe or reward the kids with food or candy, but i REALLY wanted kaia to get a hair trim today and this was the only way she agreed to it without a drama/whining/headache filled experience!
as you can see, leia's really glad that kaia cooperated too! :)

our birthday-filled saturday...
Chucky Cheese
we started out at Chucky Cheese for Isaiah's birthday party (a little boy in kaia's pre-school class) and the girls had a great time (it was leia's first time there)...that place is CRAZY!

they both LOVED the horse ride
i have NO idea what was SOOO funny! :)
poor leia RAN over to Chucky and then she DID NOT want to be on his lap!
we walked by this ride and leia kept pointing to it...so here she is, on it!
Great Grandma Grace's Birthday celebration!

she's finally awake (as we're about to leave!)
back to papa & nema's for birthday cake (that kaia helped make)
time to feed the dog's bones...
uh oh...they're getting a little carried away!
they LOVE to spin!
